Tony Soulié
Tony Soulié was born in 1955 in Paris, where he lives and works today. His first exhibition was in 1977. A recognized artist in the “New French Abstraction” movement, as well as a traveler, poet and photographer, Tony seeks to “be in harmony with the space and time that are ours.” “There is a level of urgency in my work.” He combines life and painting. His travels have taken him to many extreme places, including deserts, volcanos and sea shores, as well as large cities, where he seeks out “the world’s limits”. His mixed technique works use photography as a base on which his paintbrush traces the memories of his travels and experiences. He is present in the Museum of Modern Art in Paris and La Villette, as well as numerous corporate collections and international galleries.
