Pierre Marie Brisson
Pierre Marie Brisson was born in Orléans in 1955. He created his first paintings when he was 14 years old. When he was 16 years old, he met Bernard Saby, who encouraged him to continue. When he was 19 years old, he presented his first exhibition at The Charles Peguy Museum in Orléans. He then exhibited at the Lucette Herzog gallery in 1978 and began to work on engraving at the Pasnic workshop in Paris in 1979. His first exhibition in New York was held in 1980. Since 1981, Pierre Marie Brisson has exhibited his works in many countries, where he is recognized as a major artist. His great admiration for Henri Matisse is reflected in his rhythmic compositions 23 which convey strong emotion. Pierre Marie’s work is presented in numerous American and European museum collections.
