Alejandro Quincoces
Alejandro Quincoces was born in Bilbao, Spain, in 1951. After working extensively in advertising, he devoted himself entirely to painting in the early 1990s. The subjects on which he has focused over the past few years, which have made him famous, are generally urban scenes and landscapes such as cities, factories and highways. Alejandro’s goal is to freeze an instant of everyday reality on canvas by extracting it from the flow of time. Roads interest him because they are the symbol of the fleeting moment, with vehicles arriving from their past, living briefly in the present, and heading off into the future.
