Hervé Di Rosa was born in Sète in 1959. He has lived and worked in Paris, Mexico and around the entire world over the course of his creative journey. After studying at The Paris Décorative Arts School, he presented his first exhibition “Finir en beauté” in the city in 1981. Honoured by The Médicis Foundation, he lived for two years in New York, where his work was presented at The Barbara Gladstone Gallery. In 2000, he founded The International Museum of Modest Arts in Sète. From The Sogetsu Kai Kan Foundation in Tokyo to the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach, the artist travels the world and weaves the cultures and methods of expression of each country into his work. One of the founders of the French “Figuration Libre” movement in the 1980s, the painter is inspired by the comic book, rock and graffiti worlds.
